MINING COMMISSION

INVITATION FOR TENDERS

Tender No. IE.053/2018-2019/HQ/G/18

PROCUREMENT OF GEMOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT, LAPTOPS, PRINTERS AND POS MACHINES.

The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Mining Commission during the financial year 2018/2019.Its intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Procurement of Gemological Equipment, laptops, Printers and POS Machines.

The Mining Commission now invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers of Gemological Equipment. Laptops, Primers and POS Machines as listed below:

The Items in this Tender constitute TWO Lots, bidders may quote for ONE or BOTH Lots, bidders must quote for all items and quantity as specified in a particular Lot. Bids not quoting all items and quantities in applied Lot/lots will be considered non -responsive and rejected for evaluation.

Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Method a procedure specified in the Public Procurement Regulations. 2013 – Government Notice No. 440 as amended in 2016, and is open to all Tenderers as defined In the Regulations.

Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Mining Commission. P.o. BOX 2292, College of Business Studies and law Second Floor. Room number 2-15 University of Dodoma from 08304)330 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

Qualification requirements include the following:

a) Bidders must submit copies of certified bank statement covering the period of at least twenty four (241 months ending
one month before deadline for the submission of bids:
b) Bidders must provide audited financial reports of at least last three (3) years; and 0 Bidders or the authorized local agent shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate having at least THREE (3) years of experience m the supply of goods of similar nature and magnitude.

A margin of preference for eligible national bidders shall not be applied. Additional detail is provided in the bidding documents.

A complete set of Tendering Documents) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of TZS 100,000. Payment should be made by Government Payment Gateway (GePG).

All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of TZS 3S.000.000 in form of Bank guarantee or banker’s certified cheque many freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.

All tenders in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address:

At or before 16th July, 2019 at 10:00 am. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter public and m the presence of Tenderers ‘representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Conference room ,First Floor, College of Business Studies and Law-UNIVERSITY of DODOMA.

Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders. Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received. Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
