  1. The National Institute of Transport through The Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of East Africa Skill for Transformation and Regional Integration Project(EASTRIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Testing and Training of Cabin Crew Mock Ups, Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) and Aircraft Engineering System Trainers for the Center of Excellence in Aviation And Transport Operations “For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
  2. The National Institute of Transport now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Testing and Training of Cabin Crew Mock Ups, Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) and Aircraft Engineering System Trainers for the Center of Excellence in Aviation And Transport Operations at the National Institute of Transport, Ubungo-Mabibo, Dar es Salaam, within the delivery period of 150-180 days
  3. Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” 1st July 2016 and revised November 2017 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from National Institute of Transport to Vaileth Leonard email: [email protected] [email protected] inspect the bidding document during office hours from 0800 to 1600 hours Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays at the address given below.
  5. The bidding document written in English Language may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to RECTOR, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT, P. O. Box 705, Mabibo Road, Ubungo Light Industrial Area in Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and email: [email protected] [email protected] upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 50 or its equivalent in Tanzania shillings. The method of payment will be done through Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GePG) using the control number, in which the bidder should ask for control number through the following email address: [email protected] [email protected] .
  6. Bids must be submitted in one original and two copies of the documents, properly filled in, enclosed in plain envelopes and must be delivered to the RECTOR, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT, P. O. Box 705, Mabibo Road, Ubungo Light Industrial Area in Ubungo Municipality, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the purchaser’s representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at National Institute of Transport-Board Room, Block No.8 in Research and Publication Building at 10.00 am (EAT) on 05 August, 2020.

7 All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the Format provided in the form of Request for Bids (RFB) in the amounts for
(i)LOT I Bid Security in the amount of USD 15,000
(ii)LOT II Bid Security in the amount of USD 5,000
(iii)LOT III Bid Security in the amount of USD 6,000
